When historic St. Joseph's Church was gutted by fire in the 1970s, the Western New York Landmark Society stepped in to save the remaining bell tower structure. Their unique decision to turn the roofless sanctuary with its soaring clock tower into a park provided a visual center for this neighborhood. Currently, the St. Joseph's area offers many services and a variety of office and residential space. Ample parking, significant amounts of undeveloped land, as well as easy access to the Inner Loop, St. Paul Quarter, and the East End all represent untapped incentives for developers and investors.
