| COMING SOON! A swirl of activity has electrified this 19th century commercial mill building named after a Rochester family whose members included heirs to the Filene's Basement fortune and Lincoln Kirstein a co-founder of the famed School of American Ballet. Globe Developer's team now races forward with efforts to transform the building from its former commercial purposes to 30 large loft residential units. Plans are in place for a gym and spa, and commercial office space will be available for entreprenuers and entertainment establishments. Within easy walking distance of the Michaels/Stern and Temple Buildings, the Kirstein sits on the eastern edge of the St. Paul Quarter and is seen by many as a potential linchpin between the Quarter, Liberty Pole, Grove Place, and East End residential populations! RDDC applauds developers who seek to renovate existing structures and incorporate environmentally sustainable features in their efforts to build anew.
